San German Christian Academy was founded in 1999 by visionary educators, Dr. Carolyn Sanders and Dr. Beverly Simpson, whose commitment to Christian education laid the foundation for what SGCA would become. After many years of dedicated service, the original founders were about to make the decision to step back from the academy, and the future of the school was at a crossroads.

At this crucial moment, God intertwined two ministries, and the academy's administration was entrusted to Changing Hearts with Christ Ministry, Inc., where its faith and core mission of evangelizing student families would be maintained, now under the leadership of Pastor Sepulveda and his wife. With a new administration, SGCA underwent a comprehensive transformation, both administratively and academically. The school was re-established with a renewed vision and standards, enabling SGCA to continue its mission of academic excellence and spiritual growth for all students—in a living faith, not a religion.

Today, San German Christian Academy has welcomed students from all backgrounds, helping them excel in higher education and succeed in life—building a strong foundation in Christ from their earliest school beginnings.

Our mission is simple yet profound: to train up each child in the way they should go, so that as they grow, their faith and character remain unshakable. At SGCA, academic rigor is matched by spiritual growth and a commitment to service, transforming students into agents of change for their communities and the world.

• An individualized learning approach, powered by the Accelerated Christian Education system, that challenges and supports each student according to their unique strengths and understandings.
• Daily Spiritual Formation: Our school days begin with prayer, uplifting singing, and devotionals, fostering a strong spiritual foundation and a sense of community from the moment students arrive.
• Family Partnership: We believe education is a partnership with families. Individual family meetings are scheduled as needed, offering a confidential space to discuss questions, address concerns, and support each child’s journey.

At San German Christian Academy and CHC Ministry, our convictions are firmly rooted in Jesus' life and walk, and in God’s Word and the principles He has established for life and learning. We affirm natural and conservative values, embracing the family as God designed: “male and female He created them” (Genesis 1:27). We believe that this family structure—ordained by God—is the foundation for raising children in faith, wisdom, and love.

We believe in the Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and in salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. We uphold that the body is the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19), and we are called to honor God with our whole lives—physically, spiritually, and mentally. This means being intentional with what we study, watch, listen to, and how we invest our time—always seeking to nourish our hearts and minds through prayer and godly choices.

As a faith community, we do not sponsor or condone:

• Violent acts, war games, or violent toys
• Pagan activities such as Halloween, Valentine’s Day, Santa Claus, and similar traditions

Instead, we joyfully uphold and celebrate:

• February – The Love of Jesus: We dedicate this month to focusing on the love of Jesus.
• March/April – Holy Week: We reflect on the sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus.
• June – Month of the Family: We dedicate the month of June to recognizing and strengthening the importance of family as God created it.
• November – Thanksgiving Day: We gather in gratitude, acknowledging God’s blessings.
• December 25th – The Birth of Jesus: We honor the true meaning of Christmas by celebrating the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
